Obituary of John William Davis, Jr.

John William Davis, Jr, age 67, passed away on December 4, 2021 after his battle with cancer.

John was born on August 3, 1954 in Dallas, TX. He grew up in Alba, TX and graduated from Alba-Golden High School in 1972. After high school, John enlisted in the US Army and was a 6 year veteran with 4 years served in Thailand during the Vietnam War.

John enjoyed life with numerous hobbies that are almost too many to mention. His favorites were hunting, white water rafting, kayaking, hiking, camping in his RV, participating in Civil War reenactment groups, carpentry, playing his drums and riding his Harley through the Smokey Mountains.

He was also a former member of the Protector’s Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club.

More than his hobbies, he cherished his family the most. His grandkids were the light of his life. Missing him the most is his wife, Ellen, of 27 years, daughter Barbara Lee May and spouse Ladd Hodgins, son Thomas James Lupinacci, Jr, and wife Shawna, granddaughter Heidi Marie, grandsons Michael Andrew, Dillan Jeremy and Thomas James III, numerous nieces and nephews along many friends.

Service will be held at the DFW National Cemetery on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 10:00 am with a family and friends luncheon at BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse following the service. All are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations sent to the ASPCA and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Interment: 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 15, at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery,2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.

Reception: Immediately following at BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse: 201 East I-20,Arlington, TX 76018
