Obituary of Rosalva Garcia Flores
Please share a memory of Rosalva to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On Saturday, November 13, 2021, Rosalva Garcia Flores, 57, of Fort Worth, Texas went to be with our Lord and Savior. She was surrounded by her sons and friends at the time of her passing.
Rosalva was born on March 10, 1964 to Ramona and Esequiel Flores and immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. Since her childhood she had beautiful hair, dressed fashionably, walked with confidence but her smile and her heart were always her greatest attributes. Rosalva was one of the strongest, most courageous and kindest women to ever walk this earth whose Family was blessed to have her as the head of the Family. Family came first and was above all else to her, a value she instilled in all those around her.
Rosalva was known as Mom, Mija, Tia Rosa, Mama Rose, Rose and Rosa to some. She worked at MHMR as a Service coordinator and Case Worker and always went above and beyond to help others. She was always passionate about service and activism in her community. She was an active member of Love Fellowship Christian Center where she provided legal services, assisting immigrants with obtaining citizenship and legal status. Rosa fervently fought for the rights of immigrants and children, she had a passion for all of God’s creatures, including her pets. She dedicated much of her time to her Family, taking trips, making memories, living life to the fullest and sharing her beautiful smile with everyone she encountered.
Rosalva is survived by her two sons, David Flores and Chase McCool; her parents, Ramona and Esequiel Flores; brothers, Esequiel Flores Jr., Raymond Flores, Arthur Flores, Luis Flores; sister, Norma Flores; several nieces and nephews; a loving Family and a great number of friends. We will miss her greatly.
Service: 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 6009 Wedgwood, Fort Worth, TX 76133.
