Obituary of Sandra Mae Burkhalter

Sandra Mae Lang Burkhalter, 85, went on to be in the presence of our Lord on October 24, 2021. Graveside Service: 11 a.m., Monday, November 1, 2021 at Mount Olivet Cemetery, in the garden of "Everlasting Love", Fort Worth, Texas 76111. She was born on January 28, 1936, in Paulsboro, New Jersey, to parentage of William and Mae Lang. We celebrate her life and we are thankful for many good memories and for the love that she shared among her family and friends over her almost 86 years of life. Sandra was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In her earlier years, she was proud of being the first female store manager for Penn Fruit Company in New Jersey and worked with that company for many years. She managed a couple other stores after moving to Fort Worth, Texas. She enjoyed gardening, playing the piano, loved the theater and classical music, was an avid reader, and enjoyed going all out at every holiday. Her grandchildren often jokingly called her “Santa Nana” because she loved giving so many gifts at Christmas. Gift-giving was definitely her “love language”. We pray that the Lord brings comfort to your hearts as her family can testify that Sandra dedicated her heart to the Lord before she passed on. Her family will miss her dearly, yet they rejoice in knowing that they will one day be reunited with her again. “Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13
