Obituary of Edward Bert Chandler

Edward B. Chandler, Major, USAF retired, passed away on October 19, 2021 at the age of 92. The funeral will be held at Ridglea Presbyterian Church on Saturday, October 23 at 10:30 a.m. Internment will be at DFW National Cemetery at a later date. Ed and his wife, Dorothy, were married for 55 years before her passing in 2010. After retiring from the Air Force, they moved to Texas where he worked for General Dynamics and CSC. He enjoyed traveling, teaching Sunday School, cooking for the Men’s Prayer Breakfast and spending time with family. He relished the time he spent with his youngest brother over the past 17 years, helping him restore a 1928 Chandler Automobile, which they rolled out at Ed’s 90th birthday party. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his honor may be made to the Ed & Dorothy Chandler Scholarship Fund at Ridglea Presbyterian Church, 5000 Southwest Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76116. Survivors include his three daughters and their spouses: Michelle & Kevin Heck, Chandra & Curt Bolton, and Sheri & Bill Parker; eleven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings: Rita Etzler, Leonard Chandler, Norie Siers, Jerry Chandler and Terry Chandler.
