Remembering Buddy with a smile on my face. He’s my oldest cousin who blazed the trail. Loved to listen to the family conversations with my Dad - my Mom and Mary keeping those two honest. Always a laugh and a chuckle. A good, dear man. Thinking of you, Mary. Love to you and all the Bertrand family. Picture taken at my folks house in St. Charles (awhile ago.)

It was my Uncle Bud and Aunt Mary who helped my father raise me. Their family became like mine. When growing up it was a tradition for my father and I and my grandma Cryer to attend Sunday church with Uncle Bud Aunt Mary and their family afterwards we would have Sunday dinner at their house on Cottonwood Street. Aunt Mary would be busy in the kitchen and Uncle Bud will be out on the grill. This was the beginning in the building blocks to my strong faith. Thank you Uncle Bud for that. You were always very kind very smart very loving to me and treated me just like one of your own helping me whenever you could. I love you and I will miss you. I remember as a teenager Uncle Bud giving me driving tips and advice especially how to be careful truckers on the road I remembered all that and shared it with my son Michael who now is a truck driver. The very same son that back in 1984 Uncle Bud and Aunt Mary became godparents to. I also have many fond memories out in Alvarado attending family functions remembering Uncle Bud in the backyard driving around the grandkids in his little tractor. Aunt Mary, Roger, William, Raymond, Diane, and Thomas I an incredibly heartbroken for you and my condolences to the rest of the Bertrand family. He will be missed he will be remembered he will always be loved❤

To the greatest daddy. He always kept his word even when it came to taking me horseback riding. I love you always, your little girl.

Bud will be greatly missed by the whole family and his friends. He was a good and caring person. I remember playing cards and bowling and working with him. My children remember him lovingly as the quarter man. Heaven has gained another Angel. Rest in peace Bro.
