Obituary of Sandra Garcia
Please share a memory of Sandra to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sandra grew up in Fort Worth, Texas and graduated Tremble Technical High School where she met her future husband of 20 years and father of Jeffrey, Steven and Courtney. When she was 42, she gave birth to her youngest son, Sam Narvaez. She cherished Sam and this new season of life he gave her after her other children were grown.
Sandra is preceded in death by parents Augustine & Irene Garcia and her brother Augustine Garcia Jr. She is survived by her children Jeffrey (Shauna) McCoy, Steven McCoy, Courtney (David) Partain, Sam Narvaez; her grandchildren Caitlin, Maddi, Ethan, Grayson, Angelese, Joel, Lilly, David, Natalie; her sisters Sylvia Garcia, Rita (Robby) McCullough and brother Albert Garcia along with many members of her extended family and friends.
Sandra loved her Lord, Jesus Christ, and loved reminding her children and grandchildren how much He loves them. She provided them a project to sand the edges of a mirror and the scriptures below to remind them every day when they look at their reflection. At the top it reads Hello Precious and at the bottom:
GOD SAYS YOU ARE:
Beautiful – Psalms 139:14 Precious – 1 Corinthians 6:20
Chosen – John 15:15-17 Strong – Psalms 18:35
Forgiven – Psalms 103:12 Special – Ephesians 2:10
Lovely – Daniel 12:3 Unique – Psalms 139:13
Her laughter was contagious and she was a free spirit that enjoyed life. Not afraid to swim upstream or challenge the status quo she modeled tenacity and vibrance to all around her. She enjoyed puzzles, movies, music, art and just talking about life with her family. She brought a unique and special light to this world through her love for Jesus and her wit, charm and sense of humor that will be missed by all that knew her. Her generosity was endless and she would give her last resource to help another. One of her favorite stories was Hinds Feet on High Places by Hannah Hunard. To her children she would often read Love You Forever by Robert Munsch. She fiercely loved her family and is proud of her children and the love they share.
