Obituary of Jason Mikeal Whittington

Please share a memory of Jason to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jason Mikeal Whittington went to his eternal home on October 7, 2021 and is healed and whole in the presence for His Lord and Savior. Services: Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at North Side Baptist Church in Weatherford, TX on Saturday, October 16th at 11:00 a.m. A private family burial will be held following the service. Jason was born on January 21, 1976 in Santa Rosa, California and moved to Texas in 1999. Jason met his wife of 21 years at the age of 14 and they built a life together in Weatherford raising their three girls. At 14 years old he developed a love for southern gospel music and began singing with Boundless Joy and later in Weatherford, TX with Crimson River. He was a devoted employee of TXDot for the past 22 years and loved his job. Jason was an active member of North Side Baptist Church for the past 13 years where he served on the music and tech team. Jason was an avid sports fan, but his favorite was college football, specifically Auburn football, WAR EAGLE! More than anything else, Jason’s greatest accomplish and treasure was being a dad to his three girls. His good friend, Jimmy Goff, had always told him you would have three girls. They were his pride and joy and he loved them more than anything else in this world. Whether it was daddy daughter date nights at Pappadeaux with Za’Mariyah, snuggling before bedtime routine with Arleigh, or watching movies with Mikenna, he loved watching them grow up and was honored to be their dad. He always knew in his heart adopting his girls was part of God’s beautiful plan and he loved them well. His girls wanted to say they miss their daddy and know Nana and our family will miss you, but they will be okay. While we will miss him here in our presence and our heart aches for his girls, we are comforted in knowing he loved and knew Jesus well and he has met Jesus face to face. He is preceded in death by his father Mike Whittington and grandparents Charles and Jean Whittington. Survivors: He leaves behind a wife of 21 years, Marlin Whittington; daughters, Za’Mariyah (7), Arleigh (6) and Mikenna (2); his mother, Vickie Whittington; brother, Daniel Whittington and wife Karen and their son AJ; and a host extended family members and friends. Those wishing to send flowers may do so through Green Florist, 817-594-2733, 701 N. Main Street Weatherford, Texas 76086.
