Norman Davis, 61, passed away August 11, 2021
Funeral Service: 12:00 Noon, Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 2712 South Freeway @ Morningside Dr., Fort Worth, Texas 76104.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Church.
Norman Davis was born on August 16, 1959 to the proud parentage of Tilman and Doris Kennedy Davis in Fort Worth, Texas.
He attended schools in the Fort Worth area and, at an early age, he became a member of Morningside United Methodist Church.
Norman was a man well loved, liked and respected by those who knew him, and for those who knew him well would say, "he was a cowboy of color because he loved his western music, dance, boots, hats and horses!" But his finest moves came when he put on his roller skates!
He developed a love for people and medicine early in life and, as a young man, he began to work for Dr. Marion J. Brooks, MD, at the Brooks Clinic for 35 plus years, before his health begin to fail.
Dr. Brooks believed in Norman's skills and helped to further his education in medicine and paved the way for nursing school.
Norman was preceded in death by is mother, Doris Amanda Davis; father, Tilman Davis; brothers, Ricky Davis, Darrell Davis, and Kenneth Davis; and many other aunts and uncles.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory; two sons, Terrance and wife Toni, Nicholas and wife Fantazia; one daughter, Nicole and husband Andre; five sisters, Patricia, Patty, Doris, Sherry, and Jacqueline, six brothers, Roy Lee and wife Betty, Michael and wife Jackie, Leroy, Jerry, Stanley, and Randy and wife Connie; 13 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He will cherished by his long time companion, Lucy Jenkins.
