Debby Kay Owens, 70, passed away in her home on June 25, 2021. Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 9, 2021 at Pathway Church, 325 N.W. Renfro, Burleson, Texas 76028. Debby was born March 10, 1951 in Ft. Worth, Texas. She went to school there until high school, and then moved to Everman where she graduated. She entered nursing right after high school, working early on in pediatrics, and later on in geriatric care. In 1996, she moved to Granbury after the death of her husband, Robert Owens, where she eventually pursued a career in home health. She touched many, many lives in her career along the way. She had an amazing impact on many individuals throughout her life. She was overly generous, caring and giving. She has many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews, that she loved and they love her greatly in return. She was affectionately known as both 'Bebo' or ‘Debo’ by her great nephews and nieces. Debby had a smile and laugh to remember. She loved reading, music, and hanging out with the people she loved. That included going to the beach, traveling with family on vacation, and enjoying her friends and local activities. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Owens; her parents, Travis and Margie Walters; her nephew, Aaron Collier; and her brother-in-law, Wade Day. She is survived by her sisters, Patty McKnight of Granbury and Cindy Day of Burleson; her nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and other friends and family. She will always be loved and greatly missed.
