Merrill Tate Stacy, 90, passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. Visitation: 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home, 4350 River Oaks Blvd, River Oaks, TX 76114. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021 at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 185 S. White Chapel Blvd, Southlake, TX 76092. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, Colleyville. The family asks that friends consider memorials to the Military Warriors Support Foundation 211 N Loop 1604 E #250, San Antonio, TX 78232. https://militarywarriors.org/ Merrill was born on September 2, 1930, in Coppell to Hazel and Arvel Tate. She attended Carroll Schools and married Roy Stacy on April 26, 1946. Merrill was a member of the Pleasant Hill Advent Christian Church which became the Southlake Christian Church for more than 70 years until it closed. She joined White’s Chapel United Methodist Church six years ago. Merrill took computer classes at the Grapevine Senior Citizen Center and later assisted the instructor helping others learn the computer there. One of her most cherished awards was when she and her husband received the Dragon Fan of the Year by the Carroll ISD. She was affectionately called Grandmother by many of her children and grandchildren’s friends. Merrill was most of all a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Merrill was preceded in death by her husband, Roy J Stacy. Survivors: She is survived by her siblings, Laura Sword, Arvel Tate and wife Elaine, Doris Gibson, Charlotte Brown and husband Jerrell; children, Rick Stacy and wife Diane, Randy Stacy and wife Cathy, Ron Stacy and wife Barbara, and Rhonda Highberger and husband Larry; grandchildren, Dorian Sims, Elizabeth Smith and husband Scott, Heather Wright, Kris Stacy and wife Valerie, Ashley Rodriguez and husband Robert, Heath Marr, Brian Stacy, Jay Stacy and wife Erin, Mitch Stacy and wife Christy, Travis Stacy, Nic Marr, Aaron Stacy and wife Brilin; great-grandchildren, Garrett, Ragan, Tucker, Holton, Jaelyn, Parker,Payton, Packard, Paisley, Kaylie,Khloe, Mia, Merrillee, Marlo, Halle, Brooklyn, Trip, Axl, Cade, Carson, Callum, Canna, Bella, Ryker, and Macklin.
