Betty and I were good friends in high school. She was always so vivacious and dazzled everyone with her beautiful eyes and her big smile. She was a trend setter in our class! Betty was so smart. She and I were in Spanish class together every year as we took the most advanced Spanish classes offered. We lived within a few blocks of each other and I loved having her as my friend.

I knew Betsy in the mid-1970s and early-1980s when I was still living in my hometown of San Antonio, Texas. I was much closer friends with her brother's family, Al and Sheila Hansen and their six daughters. I am so sorry to learn Betsy has passed away. May her sweet soul rest peacefully. Betsy was a beautiful person inside and out and she touched many lives in a positive way - she will be deeply missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all of her beloved family and dear friends. Someday we will all be together again in heaven above and what a joyous reunion that will be - when our time is up. My deepest sympathy, Elizabeth "Bitsy" (Gibson) Wagner
