Obituary of Elaine Walker

On Saturday, May 1, 2021 we lost a faithful witness of Jehovah and loving daughter, sister, aunt, mother and wife Elaine Walker. She was born in Gary, Indiana on February 5, 1954. The second daughter to Amour Lee Hunt and Olivia B. Hunt and proceeded in death sister Viola Landon and husband Benjamin Walker Jr. On June 19, 1973 Elaine was baptized and dedicated her life to Jehovah as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and began her faithfully serving Jehovah until her death. Became a loving wife on June 18, 1976 married Benjamin Walker Jr., and gave birth to beautiful baby girl Stephanie. Elaine is mourned by her daughter Stephanie, loving grand-daughters Cassandra and Serena and handsome great-grandson Desmond. Grew-up with (6) sisters Lynette Turner, Viola Landon, Diana (Edward Whitley), Essidene(Lennart Burnett), Dorothy Miller, Olivia Marino. They grew-up on Diamond St. enjoyed playing bat mitting with their mother until lights came on. Sis Olivia Hunt taught them about Jehovah and often walking to the Kingdom Hall and Bible Study. Walking to the meeting Sister Hunt asking her daughters to look up at the sky, and see Jehovah’s creation. The family is gratitude to close friends in growing up as well as in Illinois and in Texas who gave freely of their love and support thru her pioneering, illness and passing of her husband. You will greatly be missed by all. We will miss her smile her positive attitude her drive to continue fighting the good fight always thinking of Jehovah’s will first. She stood steadfast and firm in the faith. – 2Tim. 4: 7- Also, Elaine is mourned and missed by a host of wonderful cousins, nieces, nephews.
