Obituary of Ida Smith

Ida Mae Smith, 85, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2021.
Ida was born in Houston on May 29, 1936. Throughout her childhood, she traveled with her family while her mother worked in orphanages.
She had 4 children when she met Don Smith and moved to the DFW area in the early 60’s. Don adopted her children and they later had one together. She bought a farm in the late 60’s where she lived the life she wanted to live.
Ida did many things in her life. Her first job was at Kroger, then as a bank teller, on to running a horse boarding business. Just last year, her children helped her renew her Real estate license that she received in the 60’s. She was always so proud of what she had accomplished and loved helping teach her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren what she had learned along her journey.
She was proceeded in death by her children Pamela Smith and Thomas Smith.
Survivors: Sons, Roger Smith and John Smith; daughter, Elizabeth Smith; and loved dearly by all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Please join us Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 1 p.m. for a graveside service and to celebrate her life at Everman Cemetery 900 Enron Avenue, Everman, TX 76140.
