Please share a memory of Sharon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sharon Annette Watson went to be with the Lord on Friday March 5, 2021 in her hometown of Fort Worth, TX.
She was born on February 2, 1959 to the late Jimmie J. and Mary Annie Dragoo. She was the third of four daughters, and the first to join her parents in heaven.
Sharon accepted Jesus as her Savior at an early age and was baptized by her father and pastor, Jimmie Dragoo. She graduated from Denton High School in the class of 1977 alongside many friends she would hold dear for her entire life.
In 1980 Sharon married Keith Watson at the First Baptist Church of Denton and two children Amanda and Ryan were born from this union. She worked 17 years for Southern Union Gas Company rising through the ranks to eventually become one of the firm’s first female regional managers. After she retired from Southern Union, she continued to work throughout her life making countless treasured friendships along the way. She was diagnosed with and battled breast cancer at the young age of 31 and was proud to identify as a long-time survivor for many years.
Sharon loved every moment with her grandson Sammy, and loved studying her bible, praying for and with others, and preparing for and hosting family gatherings. She was a loving and caring person, devoted mother, “Mimi”, sister, and friend. She enjoyed Mexican food, old westerns, mani-pedis, and strawberry milkshakes. She was beautiful, vibrant and generous. All those who loved her will surely remember her giggle.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory two children, Amanda Nauert & Ryan Watson; one beloved grandson Samuel Rhys Nauert; her favorite Son-in-Law Aaron Nauert; three sisters Nancy Dragoo, Donna Dragoo and Janice Williams, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom she dearly loved.
