I am forever thankful to have had my Uncle Doug in my life. He loved to research our families roots and learn the stories of where we came from. My husband Jami and I looked forward to hearing about the interesting things he would find to tell us about. He loved being a dad and sharing those stories with his kiddos. He would tell us about trying to recreate family recipes he remembered so he could give his children a taste of his childhood. Jami and I are so saddened that he was taken away from this journey but can only imagine how he is sharing the stories about his family with the loved ones on the other side now. We loved him and miss him. We pray for Starr, Olivia, and Connor to find peace in happy memories. We are here for y'all always ❤️ Love y'all

Douglas was such a kind, generous and funny guy. My prayers go out to Starr and his family for this terrible loss. I really enjoyed getting to know Douglas and his family better while spending a beautiful fall day together at the Stockyards not too long ago. May God wrap his arms around you and carry you through this journey. Love and prayers.

Douglas was a kind and considerate man who loved his family and loved God. I had the privilege of being the coordinator for the wedding of Starr and Douglas at Trinity Church in Lubbock Texas. It was a busy and happy time and he was always being helpful. His legacy to Starr, Olivia, Connor and other family is love and provision. His faith is eternal. I love you Carter family. I know that Jesus is your refuge and your help.
