Obituary of Jessica Woodard
Please share a memory of Jessica to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jessica Woodard was a caring, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on January 16, 2021 at age 56.
Jessica was born to Minnie and Armando Trevino on August 22, 1964 in Lubbock Texas. After graduating from high school, Jessica began her career in healthcare, working for several local Durable Medical Equipment companies in which she assisted her clients with CPAP fittings. Many of her clients commented that Jessica was patient, kind and understanding as she attempted to fit them and assist them with their equipment issues. In September 1990 Jessica had her only child, a son, who she loved and considered him to be the greatest love of her life, Christopher.
Jessica loved spending time with her son and granddaughter, Chloe, watching the Dallas Cowboys, enjoying a drink with close friends and family gatherings. Jessica is best remembered for her caring personality. If a family member needed her to help them with surgery recovery she quickly offered and made sure you took your meds on time, even waking you to take your sleeping pills. Friends often asked Jessica if she could assist them with caring for their loved ones and Jessica was quick to say yes, being a caregiver was in her bones. Jessica is also known for her great fried chicken, no one can make it like she can.
Jessica will be greatly missed by her family and friends, all who will remember all the great memories she leaves behind. I leave you with this bible verse, as it reminds us of Jessica.
Ephesians 4:32
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Jessica is survived by her parents; Armando and Minnie Trevino, her son; Christopher (Jessica) Woodard, granddaughter Chloe, sisters Marda, Cece, Lisa (Steven) and Julie (Kevin); nephews Mario, Jason (Rachel), and Jonathon and nieces Alena (Christopher), Emily, Sarah and Amy; and many great nieces and nephews, all who she loved as if they were her own. She is also survived by a host of extended family and close friends.
Jessica was preceded in death by her brother in law, Owen Dale Cox.
There will be no public service, Jessica’s family is choosing to celebrate her life and death in private.
