Shari was the first person who officially took me under her wing when I transferred to Texas, working together at AT&T. She was just a generous and kind hearted woman. When I was at Jury Duty I received a call from my mom letting me know my dear father had a stroke. It was Shari I called who found me the last seat on the plane, picked me up and drove me to the airport within hours. She shared quickly her story and journey with Les, talked so fondly of her daughter's and grand children.
It is still so hard to process and the why is even harder to understand. I will always cherish our friendship Shari and know that you are in the hands of our Heavenly Father and reunited with those who went before you. God Bless you always my friend with love, Lana

Oh, how I will miss Shari’s wicked wit and sense of humor. My heart is broken and the only way I can make sense of this is that she is now with Les. I worked with Shari for 27 years. We all knew what she was going through with Les. But until I read her book I realized I never really understood what she was going through. What I do know is she unequivocally proved Les’s innocence in her book. Her strength, her faith, her persistence I so admire. Shari Bower, I am so honored I was your friend. You were admired by so many. I will miss you at the AT&T girl’s get-togethers. But I know you are dancing in heaven with Les....

Shari was my manager at SWBYPS. She was such a wonderful trainer, mentor, and friend to all of us. She spoke to me about her strong beliefs and introduced me to Tom Dooley on the radio. I listened to him for years. When Tom left KVTT, Shari and my daughter Christi Lingard-Humphries, and I attended his farewell dinner together. This moment was the greatest time for us.
Shari knew she was my hero, as I told her often. I have never known a stronger person. Rest In Peace my precious friend. I will see you again one day.

I believe I first met Shari at the memorial for Les and then some weeks later when I first first visited her home she showed me the jewelry box Les made for her from prison out of matches. And she told me about "All My Love Forever." It was such a pleasure to know her and her family over the past 5 years. While going through my own marriage problems,, separation and divorce she was like a second mother to me, a source of encouragement and reason as well as a shoulder to lean on. She was a dear friend and is sorely missed, but I know there was a great reunion awaiting her!

Shari touched the lives of so many and I’m sure in many instances never even realized the impact of her touch, her words or just her presence. Shari and I shared a moment in church one day when she reached over and grabbed my hand while I cried during one of Russ’s sermons. I never shared with her why I was crying but it didn’t matter, that day Shari helped me forgive myself of a burden I was carrying and should have long before forgiven myself as God had surely done when I confessed to him! She was such a sweet friend and she called some of us her tribe! Our tribe will never be the same but Shari will ALWAYS be a part of it. Much love to You Shari and may you Rest In Peace until we see you again ❤️ #mytribe

My husband was the private investigator for Les for about 8 years until he passed away. Around 2001 Les had a hearing in Sherman. The lawyer’s let me know. I felt like I should go to the hearing to honor my husband. So I contacted Shari to say I would be there. The first day of the hearing I walked into the courtroom and immediately Shari came over to me and hugged me like we were old friends. That started a friendship I will never forget. She will be truly missed by me and my family, but now she is in the arms of Jesus and with the love of her life, Les.

Many husbands do not like their MILs at all but I do want to say that she was the best one A guy could ever have had. Yes she could be a pain in the butt from time to time as all MILs can be, but she was the greatest. I love you Mom and will miss you.

She lived life with love, passion, and service. We always knew we would laugh and be awestricken by your wit when you were with us and we could always count on you to add to the conversation during our group studies. Thank you Shari for being a good friend and remaining faithful through it all. Lord knows you could have given up, but you proved to many that no matter the trials, you never pushed God away but drew Him in closer, knowing that only He could comfort you and provide you with the peace that you needed. I know God and the saints who went before you, celebrated when you entered into their presence. Glory to our Lord and Savior forever and ever. See you soon!

Shari was not just my sister, she was like a second mother to me and very much a Grandmother to my children, a dearest friend, and confidant. To say how much she will be missed could not be expressed by words. There is a void that can never be filled, but a hope that lives on for a heavenly reunion one day. Oh how she must be smiling now!
