A funeral Mass for Josephine “Jo” McDonald and Edward “Ted” McDonald will be held on January 28, 2021 at noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Arlington, Texas. It will be livestreamed. Jo was preceded in death by Adah (Cardall) and John Oxley. Ted was preceded in death by Mary Malloy and Thomas McDonald. Both Jo and Ted were preceded in death by their son, Peter McDonald and great grandson, Ryan. Ted and Jo were blessed with three other children: Veronica Patout, Ceil Flores (Sam) and Chris McDonald. They had six grandchildren: Angie Pell, Dom Bordelon (Zuly), Katy Pierce, Carrie Collins (Josh), Andrew McDonald (Denisa), and Thomas McDonald. They were further blessed with two great grandchildren: Al Pell and Gabe Pierce, and extended family in the UK and Canada. Jo and Ted were married for almost 66 years. They were extremely active in their church. Jo volunteered as RCIA director and Ted assisted with the food pantry at St. Joe’s and SMG. Both were lecturers and eucharistic ministers. They enjoyed extensive travel after retirement. They will be sorely missed by their loving family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any contribution be sent St. Joseph or St. Maria Goretti food pantries.
