The mother of Mark Ketchum and Karen Jennings, passed away January 5, 2021 after a long fight with Alzheimer’s disease. She was 26 days short of being 88 years old.
Mary Lou Ketchum was born on January 31, 1933 in Lawton, Oklahoma, and was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Troy D. Ketchum. After their diagnosis of Alzheimer’s, they relocated to The Stayton in Fort Worth.
Those who knew Mary Lou before the illness, knew her to be the consummate hostess, an amazing cook, an accomplished golfer (winning the Rhode Island Senior Women’s Championship) and so much fun to be with. But among her many accomplishments, that which made her most proud was being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She leaves behind a family who adored her. Children: Mark Ketchum (Judi), Karen Jennings, Grandchildren: Lauren Jennings, Jennifer Ketchum (Cortney), Paige Morton, Brian Morton (April), Great-Grandchildren: Vance, Parrish, Reese and Bonnie Morton.
If you desire, as an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, The Salvation Army or a charity of your choice.
