Aunt Mary Lou, I will always remember you for your kindness and sweet voice. I have such fond memories of you in my life. You and Uncle Bill sacrificed so much to take us all in when Mom got sick so long ago. I will always remember you when: I drive by La Fonda on Fredericksburg as that is the last place we ate together when you were in town; when I wear the Monet silver earrings you gave me as a birthday present 30+ years ago; when I open my kitchen drawers and see your old Neiman Marcus Christmas shopping bags lining my drawers; when I use Nana's china that you gave me; when I eat pepper on my eggs and the crust on my bread; when I make your banana bread coffee cake recipe; when I hear that someone was a Campfire girl; when I eat a pecan praline or moon pie and when I see Nana's blue enamel stock pot on my kitchen shelf. Thank you for all the times you mailed me money for college text books when I was attending UTSA. You are a big part of why I graduated! Thank you also for letting me wear your wedding dress. I miss you so much already! Like my Mom used to always say "We all have to go sometime"; I just wish your sometime wasn't this time. I was not ready to say goodbye yet.
