I attended Holy Family with Virginia. Those boys and girls (men and women now) will always be like brothers and sisters to me; especially those who were with me for 8 years. Virginia's passing has greatly saddened me. I will always remember her as that young, athletic girl with a heart of gold. I will always be proud call her my friend.

Dear Mr and Mrs Sabin
Please accept my condolences for you and your family’s loss of Virginia. I live in the New Orleans area with my husband and our 12 year old daughter. I apologized I can not be at the services.I last saw Virginia in August of 2019 at the funeral of my 95 yr old father. I was so touched that Virginia came to the viewing. If you don’t remember me from Holy Family, it’s understandable. Virginia was a good friend and a great athlete. I loved playing softball and volleyball with her. The most memorable event that I recall is from our 8th Grade Year, close to graduation. There were several outings, including Six Flags, Joe T. Garcia’s, and the Ft Worth Zoo to celebrate. It was all so fun. While we ate lunch outside the zoo, we met another school there on the same day, same ages and we all wanted to play softball! Virginia and I both played infield and our whole team played great together. We were confident we could win this match. I’m not sure how long we played softball, but it seamed like only 10-15 minutes. The other school was batting and a fly ball went high in the air over the in field and Virginia and I both ran for it, with confidence and agility, I might add. Then, everything stopped, and I wondered why I was laying down, so I sat up with my eyes closed. That caused a lot of reaction from those around me, and I realized that I could hear classmates and parents/teachers chasing Virginia to get her to stand still. I think she was running?! Then I realized that when I sat up, blood ran down my face from a cut over my left eye. I must have looked like I survived the chain saw massacre, a popular movie back then. I don’t remember being in pain or being scared. I think I remember Michelle Adams rode with me in the car to Children’s Hospital. I don’t remember how Virginia got to the hospital. For the time left in school Virginia and wore our bandages bravely. I was amazed that two “hard” heads banging together would result in cuts on each of us. It was a valuable lesson in physics. We were both tough girls and wore our scars proudly.
Know that I am praying for you and your family. ❤️✝️
Sincerely,
Kate Curtis Von Dullen

The world has lost one of the kindest, compassionate, and most giving of people. Virginia and I spent many times sitting on her parents front porch talking for hours. She was my life long friend and will be greatly missed. My condolences to her family.
