I worked with Grady, for about 4 years. He was gone most of the time on Emergency missions but when he was in the office, we would talk. He had the best advice and stories. He had an amazing swagger and style about him. He would tell me about the places he had visited, about his love for his family. Never easily forgotten. I’ll hold onto all he told me. ❤️ Marion

Always remembered Grady’s faithfulness in coming to serve at annual Proctor Lake Shore Cleanup events. Even though he was several pay grades above, no matter what task he was given, always did it to best of ability. Worked on several emergency management missions and always found him a knowledgeable leader. Known him for over 30 years and find his passing an untimely loss.

Dixie, I’m really sorry that Grady has passed. And from the horrible Covid! I’m thankful that you have recovered, and I’m hoping you don’t have any lingering physical issues. Grady was a bigger than life character! He always managed to do what he liked to do, without any fear. I know he was a very much loved man, and we are sad at his passing. Jim&Susan Vandersand

I am very sorry to read of the loss of Grady. I grew up literally across the street from him and he spent a lot of time at my dad's service station. I remember him riding his Cushman scooter a lot of those years and he always stopped at the station for gas and we talked often. As younger kids, he came over and fished in our pond many times and I remember going to their house up on the hill and hanging out and visiting. I lost touch with him when he got out of college, but have many good memories of our friendship through our young years.
