Chiyoko and I were very good friends. We would go to Dallas for the flower shows together. When times were busy in her shop I would help deliver flowers to her customers. She will always be remembered in my heart. I'm sure that she is helping attend to the flowers in heaven.

Ever since I moved to DFW area and met Okinawan people including Kimiko-san, everyone has been treating me as a family member. I am very fortunate and grateful to know her. All I remember is a smile, laugh, nice food and beautiful flowers. Because of her unconditional generosity, my life in the US has been noting but full of excitement and joy. I will deeply miss the conversation with her, but again, I am very grateful to be part of her life.

ちよこさん（きみさん）には県人会だけでなく宮城流のイベントでもたいへんお世話になりました。フラワーアレンジメントや花束など素敵に準備してもらいました。お花の配達も遠くても快く引き受けてくれました。毎年クリスマス前にはポインセチアの植木鉢が置かれていて返事をする時にはすでに車に乗っていてお茶でもと言ってもニコッと笑って手を振るだけで忙しく動き回っていました。今、庭にあるそのポインセチアを見るたびに働き者の彼女を思い出しています。
