Obituary of Jimmy Don Starnes

Jimmy Don Starnes, 77, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020. Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2020, at Southcliff Baptist Church, 4100 SW Loop 820, Fort Worth, TX 76109. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park, Fort Worth, TX. Jimmy was born on Wednesday May 26, 1943 in Decatur, Texas to John Brown Starnes and Maude Stanley Starnes. He had an analytical mind which helped start his career as a self taught engineer for Gearhart Industries. Jimmy later retired as a consultant for over 20 years in the oil and gas industry. He enjoyed Amateur Radio (ham radio) as his main hobby. Jimmy's main love was his God and family. Survivors: Wife, Jo Starnes; children, Michael Starnes, James Starnes, Brandon Starnes and Ashley Locke and Husband John Locke; and grandchild, Eleanor Locke.
