Please share a memory of Edward to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Edward Milton Scoggin was born August 24, 1940 and passed away July 30, 2020. Ed and Beth Robnett were married in 1964 and have lived happily together for the last 56-years. Ed was a kind and wonderful husband who graciously ate everything Beth cooked for him, without complaint. He was very easy to live with, and kept the house joyful with his sense of humor and his gracious heart. Ed graduated from Duncanville High School in 1958 and became a United States Marine reservist, in July of 1959. Ed owned and operated Scoggin Plumbing/ Duncanville Mechanical, for 30-years and had a crew of plumbers and air conditioning mechanics working with him. Ahead of retirement, Ed sold his business to Sala Air Conditioning, in Dallas. Ed continued working for Sala in sales, until officially retiring, in 2005. After retirement, he spent his time relaxing, volunteering at the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry, and participating as a citizen-on-patrol. Ed was a devout practicing member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Duncanville, then upon moving to Fort Worth in 2010, he transferred his membership to St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. As a parent, Ed was loving, kind, and supportive of whatever his children and grandchildren wanted in life. He was a proud father and grandfather who loved to share his family’s achievements and accomplishments. His phone was full of photos of his family. Ed will be greatly missed. Ed is survived by: his wife, Beth; daughters Sheila Lambert and Monica Trussell; son-in-law Bryan Trussell; grandchildren, Andrea Lambert, Kasey Lambert, Jackson Trussell, and Madeline Trussell. His brothers Jim Scoggin and Shawn Scoggin, and sisters, Monica Millson, Esther Rollins, and Shannon Nealon.
