Obituary of Michael James Weinfurtner

Please share a memory of Michael to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Michael J. Weinfurtner, Kenefic, OK, passed away unexpectedly in the evening hours of Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Medical City Dallas comforted by the love of his life at the age of 51. On June 26, 2020, he was diagnosed with cancer and had a biopsy CT which showed that a tumor had consumed his entire lung. Within a week, the tumor had grown so fast that it started putting pressure on his organs and on July 7th a biopsy was shown that he had HI grade Malignant Perivascular Epithelioid Neoplasm which is a very rare form of cancer. He was only the 9th person in the world to be diagnosed with this cancer. The doctors attempted chemotherapy and radiation to no avail as the cancer had spread to his liver, heart and brain thus taking him home to our Lord. A small, private service was held by family to honor Mike and a Rockin’ Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at a later date to give Mike one last farewell to truly honor his wishes. Mike was born on July 31, 1968 in Sheboygan, Wisc., the son of Gary and Mary (Fisher) Weinfurtner. He was united in marriage to his soulmate, Diane Morzewski, on August 4, 2001 in Marshfield, Wisc. They later moved to Oklahoma for better care for Diane’s multiple sclerosis (MS). He was her primary caregiver when her MS got worse and she was not able to work. He was employed in various careers including truck driving, fabricating, and welding. He was most recently employed as foreman at C-All Manufacturing, Inc. in Atoka, OK. He was better known as “Turbo” and “Big Mike”. He loved riding his Harley, going fishing, camping, and barbequing. He enjoyed going to concerts and hanging out with friends. He and Diane would camp with friends at Rocklahoma USA every year since 2014. Mike was lovingly survived by his one and only true love, Diane; his children, Heather (Derreck) Halterman of Riverside, CA, James (Elisha) Weinfurtner of Loyal, WI and Justin (Samantha “Sam”) Weinfurtner of Marshfield, WI; his step-children, Megan (Matt) Dyess of Durand, WI, Jon Dupee III of Mellen, WI and Zachary Kubatzki of Boron, CA; his grandchildren, Devine and Aero; Autumn, Sophie and Thomas; Aiden, Nevaeh and Bentley; Kyle and arriving soon, Nyko and his beloved canine companions, Whiner and Fred. He is further survived by his sisters, Tracy and Breanne and his brother, Kurt. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary. The family of Mike wishes to extend our sincere thanks for all of the support from family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials are being accepted to help with the accumulated medical expenses, funeral expenses and to assist with Diane’s housing needs.
