If I have the wrong Larry Vaughn I apologize to the family in advance. But he is a spitting image of his father L. E. Vaughn. Larry was a contractor for Bell Telephone. His father retired from Bell. They owned a chocolate candy company called the Sweet Shop on Jacksboro Highway I worked for Larry when I was about 19-20 at their contractor business on Magnolia. His mother planned my wedding and they actually loaned me money to go to UTA. Larry was full of fun and had a great sense of humor. They were like a second family to me. Larry was a mentor and a friend. I'll never forget him. God bless.

When I was young about 5-6 dad was such a Dallas Cowboys fan we would load up his mustang and drive towards Waco.
He had a portable b&w TV. We drove until we found a rest stop with reception of the cowboy game. Sit and talk, watch the game. I think one year he got cowboy tickets, they were about 20-25 rows up and on the fifty yard line. I remembered one game we really got a treat. Don Meredith and bullet Bob Hayes hooked up what seems all day long on bombs, the cowboys won 56-7. My o my we were hootin and a screaming, laughing. Just watching Meredith step back and throw that football as far as he could and hayes would run under it, touchdown!!!

Roberta, Donna, Jesse, Paul,
Larry was a good friend and we had many scuba adventures with him and several of them ya’ll were a part of that fun. Larry loved diving and he did it with all His heart and toys.
Larry loved his toys whether it was diving, electronics, cars, whatever. He was a kind man and loved his kids.
Don always called him “ a electronic genius”, he could fix things and make them work.
We were glad to have known him and dived with him many times.
