Obituary of Charles Hansford Ray II

Charles Hansford Ray II, “Hansford” was born March 22,1948 in McKinney, Texas went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2020 after a courageous and valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.
Hansford was raised in McKinney, Texas where he met the love of his life, Sharon Horn, in 5th grade. He was a graduate of McKinney High School where he was a standout athlete in football, track, and weight lifting. He was awarded the Lion Heart Award, as the hardest working football player on his team. Hansford and Sharon graduated Texas Tech in 1969 and were married the same year. He went on to have a very successful career at Williamson Printing Corporation in Dallas, Texas. He was blessed to work many years alongside cherished friends from childhood. He served as Vice President of sales at Williamson and won numerous awards for his sales abilities. Hansford never knew a stranger and loved everyone he met. He could often be found working out and loved entertaining clients from around the world. He loved talking and his eyes sparkled with every new adventure. Hansford is survived by his adoring wife, Sharon, to whom he was happily married to for 51 years.
He is also survived by his children, whom he was very proud of: Cristi Ray Trusler and husband Graydon, Ginger Ray Walker and husband, Rob, and his devoted son and namesake, Charles Hansford Ray III, “Chuck.” His grandchildren, Tatum Reese and Wade Charles Walker and Vivian Louise and Graydon, “Gray” Tipton Trusler, will surely miss their “Pop Pop” and “Hansfie”.
Hansford was preceded in death by his parents Charles Randolph and Veda Pearl Ray, and his sister Beverly Scott.
