Janelle Darlene Miller, 67, died Thursday, February 20, 2020. Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Carter Metropolitan Christian Methodist Church, 4601 Wichita St., Fort Worth, TX 76119 Janelle was born in Fort Worth to the parentage of John H. and Frances M. Miller, on December 8, 1952. She attended the Fort Worth public schools and was a graduate of the historic I.M. Terrell High School. At an early age, she professed her hope in Christ and was baptized at the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. Floyd Dancer. Later in life she united with the Carter Metropolitan CME Church. During her long illness, she held steadfast on the love of her son, Derald; sister, Janice; nieces, Shuanette, Sharletha, Sherrie and DeeDee; nephews, Shamon and J.J.; and brother, Jerald. Janelle was preceded in death by her mother, Frances M. Miller; father, John H. Miller; grandmothers, Mamie O. Miller, Nettie Miller, and Alma Jewel Miller; grandfathers, Saint Joe Miller, and Harrison Miller; brothers, Johnny Wilson, Jr., and Dr. Glenn E. Miller; long time companion, Harvey Henderson; nephew, Michael M. Miller; and sister-in-law, Charlotte A. Miller. Left to cherish her precious memories are: her son, Derald G. Miller; sisters, Janice L. Smith and Priscilla Jones; brother, Jerald H. Miller; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; friends who were like sisters, Earnestine Aron Maxwell and Sandra Miller; a vast number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and dear friends.
