Obituary of Mildred Catherine Davis

Mildred Catherine Davis, age 78, of Benbrook, Texas passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2020. She was born on February 25, 1941 in Atlantic City, New Jersey to Anne Mae Herlinger and John Joseph Stevenson, Jr. Millie graduated in San Bernardino, California and from the Midwestern State University (MSU) in Texas. She was formerly married to Lloyd Belvill, divorced then met and married (Ret) CMSGT Eugene Davis. During this time they were stationed at Clark AFB in the Philippine Island from there she took the opportunity to travel to Hong Kong and Japan where she enjoyed shopping. She loved to serve those around her and was a devoted fan of the Human Society. Her dogs were loved by her tremendously as they were an important part of her family. She is preceded in her death by her parents, former husband (RET) CMSGT Eugene Davis and son Lloyd Dee Davis. Millie is survived by her brother and wife Wayne Stevenson and Gail in Florida, her children Adaline Handziak (Don), who resides in Colorado, Lawrence Davis (Kim), Tina Shotland and Michael Davis along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who all reside in Texas. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 5-7 pm at the Thompson & Son Funeral Home located at 6009 Wedgwood Drive, Fort Worth, TX with Father Tony O’Donovan officiating. In lieu of flowers and as an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made in Honor of Mildred Davis to the Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT).
