Obituary of Rhonda Gayle Kelly

Rhonda Templin Kelly passed away on Saturday January 4, 2020 at Baylor All Saints Hospital. She was 63 years old. Rhonda was born on August 6, 1956 in Waxahachie, TX moving to Arlington, TX in 1961. Her parents were Thomas William Templin Jr. and Bettie Lou (Murray) Templin both of whom preceded her in death. Rhonda married Michael Wayne Kelly on April 2, 2004 who was devoted to her and stood by her side until her final passing. She is survived by three daughters, Rebekah Barnes, Shannon Herrera, Laura Callas; sons in law Jeremy Barnes, Hector Herrera; brothers, Michael Templin, Gerald Templin, Gary Templin; sisters in law Lily Templin and Crystal Templin. She also had numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Putting her family first, she was always ready to stop what she was doing to offer help. Rhonda was the beloved Neena to her five grandchildren Olivia Callas, Violet Valentine, Ariannah Barnes, Scarlett Kay Barnes, and Nicholas Barnes. Her daughters and grandchildren were the delight of her life. She was special to them and they meant the world to her. Rhonda’s eyes would take on a glow of joy when she said their names. Rhonda attended Arlington public schools graduating from Sam Houston High School in 1974. Most of her adult life she was a stay at home mother where she made sure her family was well cared for and that her daughters were impeccably groomed before they left the house. In addition to her home duties Rhonda was also an award winning inside sales person and sales trainer. Rhonda was always stylishly dressed looking like she was ready to attend a party just in case one happened. Rhonda was the matriarch of a family that truly misses her and they will always treasure her memory. A viewing will be held at the New York Avenue Church of Christ located at 5371 New York Ave, Arlington, TX 76018 on January 9, 2020 at 1:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. The burial will be at Moore Memorial Garden Cemetery located at 1219 N. Davis Drive Arlington, TX 76012. Funeral services are being provided by Martin Thompson and Son Funeral Home.
