Obituary of Joy Kathryn Wilborn

Please share a memory of Joy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Joy Kathryn Wilborn leapt into the arms of her Savior, Jesus, on Friday, December 27, 2019. She was 10 years old. Joy was born on May 6, 2009 in Plano, Texas to Mary and Sean Wilborn. She was a 5th grade student at Tanglewood Elementary who participated in Hope Squad and Running Club. She loved helping her teachers and frequently arrived early and spent her lunch time assisting in the computer lab. Joy never met an animal that she didn’t love, and she was called “The Animal Whisperer” by her family. Dancing was a favorite activity, and Joy danced with The Ensemble dance team at Studio of MoveMINT. She also loved wake-boarding/surfing, knee-boarding and tubing on Lake Granbury and Lake Waxahachie. Joy was a loving and outgoing young lady who squeezed every drop of life out of each day. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her sparkling, genuine, and sometimes mischievous smile. Joy was preceded in death by her father, Sean, and her grandfather, Gene Wilborn.
