Obituary of Naomi Anderson Tweedy
Naomi Anderson Tweedy,100, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Born November 11, 1919, in Frankfort, Kansas, she had just celebrated her 100th birthday.
Naomi was preceded in death by husband Ivan Raymond Frye, Sr. father of her 3 adult children; parents Grover Cleveland Anderson and Estella Mae Anderson; sisters Virginia Anderson Ewing and Verla Anderson Lord; brother Charles Laverne Anderson, great grandson, Skyler Keefer; and nephew John Joseph (Marsha) Ewing.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years Harry Elton Tweedy; son Ivan Raymond (Carolyn) Frye, Jr.; daughters Marilyn Frye (David) Heath and Kathryn Frye (John) Oakley. Grandsons, David Scott (Christy) Heath, Jeffrey Raymond (Sandy) Frye. Granddaughters Elizabeth Frye (Joe) Steffen, and Jennifer Kathryn Hutchins. Nieces Kay Ewing (Larry) Haskin, Barbara Jean Ewing (Ted) Forst, Carol Sue and Janet Elaine Anderson. Nephews Ronald E. (Stephanie) Ewing, David Dean Ewing, Eugene Anderson; and 8 great grandchildren.
Naomi was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She and Harry moved from Topeka, Kansas to Ft. Worth in 1977. Naomi retired from Sears in 1989 and then worked with Harry in their Hurst, Texas jewelry store until 1999, when they retired. They were longtime members of Tri City Promenaders Square Dance & Round Dance Club, in Hurst, Texas.
