On behalf of the Dallas County Chapter of The American Red Cross we send our deepest condolences to John's immediate family and friends as well as to his fellow firefighters. I had the honor and privilege of meeting John on several occasions over the past several years at numerous fires. He was always eager to help me in any way he could in assisting those in need. John will always be remembered as a true hero who was loved by many.

John and I worked several years together at Dallas Fire Station #24. He was a good fireman, and more importantly, a VERY GOOD FRIEND. I know he is enjoying growing Georgia Sweet watermelons in heaven. RIP JIMMY JOHN!!!
