Obituary of Dale Lee Chapman
Dale Lee Chapman, 71, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019, surrounded by his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Dale was born on July 9, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio to Harry and Ethel Chapman. He was a journeyman roofer and worked for United Van lines for 20 years. Dale joined the Army during the Vietnam War where he worked as a medic, then quickly earned his E5 Sargent rank.
He loved his family, his friends, his dog Chico, watching Westerns, fishing, grilling enough food for everyone in the neighborhood, and just sitting in the yard listening to the wind, wind chimes, playing classic music while having a few beers.
Dale loved sports, especially football. He was a very strong, stern man and a man of his word. Always willing to help others in need, very compassionate in everything he did.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Larry Chapman.
