Obituary of Michael Roy Hunter

Michael Roy Hunter, 56, passed away January 26, 2019.

Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019, Good Hope Baptist Church, 613 Elmwood Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76104.

Visitation: 1 - 5 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2019, Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 6009 Wedgwood Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76133. 

Wake: 7 - 8 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2019, Good Hope Baptist Church, 613 Elmwood Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76104.

Interment: 10 a.m. Monday, February 4, 2018, Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 8301 US-287 BUS, Arlington, TX 76001. 

Michael was born March 24, 1962 to the parentage of Curtis L. Hunter, Sr. and Helen Goss Hunter in Fort Worth, Texas. He attended James E. Guinn Elementary, Ernest Parker Elementary, William James Middle School and Trimble Technical High School, class of 1980.

Mike worked for the City of Fort Worth Solid Waste Services for many years and was an EMT for the City of Rendon, Texas. He loved listening to music, playing dominoes and playing card games.

It was on Saturday, January 26, 2019, that Mike exchanged life for eternity. He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis L. Hunter, Sr. , his mother, Helen Goss Hunter, his sister, Carolyn Hunter Horne, and his brothers: Donald, Lonnie, Artie, Anthony, Bernard and Alvin Hunter.

Those who are left to cherish his memory are: daughter, Stephanie Stotts (Charles), grandchildren: Rodney, Marcellous, Lor’rena, and Dmitri, sister, Beverly Hunter Walker (Jonathan), brothers: Curtis Hunter, Jr. (Chie), and Kenneth Hunter and a host of other relatives and friends.
