I had the great good fortune to be able to call Ralph a friend. Years before I got involved in the art business I’d pass his place on University Dr. with my parents and wonder about the mysterious little gallery hidden behind that awning shading the entrance. A childhood friend and gifted artist talked me in to representing him and a few others and he introduced me to Ralph. It felt like we’d known each other for years from day one. He trusted me to mind the store for him from time to time, answer the phone, tell people he wasn’t in when he was and it was always a blast. Sorry I didn’t get to say good bye till now Ralph, adios.
