Obituary of Mary Ann Burns

Mary Ann Jones Burns, 86, went home to be with Jesus on June 16, 2017.

Service: 11 am  Saturday June 23rd, First Baptist Church of Grapevine, where the family will receive friends from 10 am – 11 am.

Interment: 2:30 pm Grove Hill Memorial Park, Dallas

Mary was born June 15,1932 in Prairieville to William & Clara Jones. She graduated from Forest Ave HS, then attended St. Paul’s School of Nursing in Dallas,Tx.

After Graduating in 1952, Mary enjoyed a career as an RN for more than 40 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Grapevine. Mary was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Eastern Star. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband of 49 years Joseph B Burns,Jr.

Survivors: Daughters, Martha Fairris, Linda Knight and husband John, and Jan O'Daniel and husband Wayne: sister Jo Ellen Greenlee and Husband Frank: Grandchildren, Charlie Knight, future grand-daughter-in-law, Mary Smith, Laura Knight, Jerod Guerin and wife, Lori, Derek Guerin and wife, Teresa, Ethan O’Daniel and wife, Karen, Leslie Kervin and husband, Shelby, and Jeremy O’Daniel; nephew Roger Greenlee, wife Melody; and great-neice Abby,and 8 Great-Grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
