Carrol Fred Shofner, 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on May 17, 2018, after suffering from a sudden and unexpected illness.

Celebration of Life: 1 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2018, at Crossway Baptist Church, 10417 Old Cleburne Crowley Junction Road, Crowley, TX.

Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, TX.

Fred was born on December 22, 1935 in Athertonville, Kentucky to James and Parthena Shofner. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, coin collecting and spending time with his family. Fred served in the United States Army.  

He is preceeded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Shofner; parents; brothers, Jessie, Allen, Easton and Raymond; and his sister, Mary.

Survivors: Daughters, Deborah Shofner of Sycamore, IL, and Karen Miller of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren, Tyler Miller and his wife, Christine and their children, Lucas and Ethan, and Lauren Miller and her children, Eric and Ember; and sister, Allene Plunkett.
