Dorothy Reed posted a condolence
Thursday, March 29, 2018
My name is Dorothy Reed I was one of her students at Eastern Hills High school during my senior year. I was just saying the other day I’m going to go see her because she’s been on my mind. This deeply saddens me because I never knew that Mrs. Landes was that sick. She helped me so much at the end of senior year, I was stressed out and began to lose courage in graduating but she continued to work with me until it was time for me walk across that stage. I really hate this has happened to her. I send my condolences and love to her surviving family members God Bless you all. And may you rest in heaven Mrs. Landes, you were truly an angel on Earth and now you’re with the rest of the Angels.

I met Tina on the front steps of Eastern Hills High School. I was there to do volunteer work and she was waiting for me to escort me having been prewarned that I was coming. I found her to be delightful. She made me laugh so many times that day. She had a beautiful spirit and was so warm and friendly. My prayers go out to the family as they navigate this loss. I pray that you find peace knowing that Tina is no longer suffering. Much love to all of you. I am here if you need me.

Tina was a great individual. She and I coached together (competitors but teams together) and she taught me about coaching the player, not the sport. She loved her kids at Eastern Hills. She loved teaching, coaching, and traveling. Her love of life will never be forgotten, and her love of her husband Dennis will always be remembered. Tina, I miss you and always will. Blessings to your family.

I met Tina a few years ago when I was invited to attend a baseball game with her, Dennis and her sister and my friend Jeannen. As soon as I met her, I knew I liked her. That day we had a great time and after the game, I knew I had met someone who could and would be a friend of mine. Sadly, she was taken much too soon and I regret not being able to enjoy her friendship for a longer period of time. Tina is at peace now, no more suffering and will get to see all the Yankee greats from the team she loved so much. Yes, even though she was a Yankee fan and I, a die hard Dodger fan, we shared a love of baseball. RIP Tina, heaven has received another angel.
