Obituary of William Darwin McCann

William Darwin McCann, 91, passed away Monday Aug 21, 2017.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Pleasantview Baptist Church, 4400 Pleasantview Dr., Arlington, TX, where a visitation will be from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Interment: 4 pm Saturday, Cedar Creek Cemetery, Elkhart, Texas.

Memorials: The family request in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Pleasantview Baptist Church Building Fund.

William was born March 5, 1926 to William and Eulalah McCann. He retired from Ryan Mortgage and Cattle Ranching. William was a proud WW2 Navy Veteran and dedicated to his family. He was best known as Pappy to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survived by his loving wife and caregiver for 70 years, Vera; sons, Steve and wife Dianna, Mike and wife Vicki, Greg and wife Leah; grandchildren, David McCann and wife Tiffany, Tara McCann, Shara Hughes and husband Matt, Christy Thomas and husband Jason, Cindy McCann, and Lisa Olsen and husband Chad; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Stewart, and Wanda Thompson; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was truly loved by all of us.
