Obituary of Bill M. Shaw

Bill M. Shaw, 89, went to be with the lord on Wednesday, June 7, 2017.

Graveside Service: 11:15 a.m. Friday, July 21 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX.

Bill was born on February 5, 1928 in Cleburne, Texas to James B. and Thelma McBee Shaw. After graduation from North Side High School, he started a 52-year career as a Tarrant County banker. His career included founding the Benbrook State Bank, and retirement from Overton Bank and Trust in 1997. Bill served in the US Army with the second infantry division. He was very devoted to and loved spending time with his family.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, sisters and brother in law, Jeanette and Billy Jack Mosley and Mary Frances and H. Earl Hall, Jr.; and grandson Austin Mills.

Survivors: Wife of 63 wonderful years, Martha Shaw; daughters, Carole Mills, Jan Vernie, and Rosemary Shaw; grandchildren, Kathryn Irwin and Asa Shaw; 2 great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
