William Alton Parish passed away Friday, April 28th.

Celebration of Life: 11 am Tuesday, May 16, with a reception prior at 10 am, St Christopher Episcopal Church, 3550 SW Loop 820, Fort Worth, TX 76133.

Alton was born September 17, 1938 in Dallas. He received a Bachelor's and Master's degree from the University of North Texas and an EdD from the University of Arkansas.

Alton worked as a college professor for 34 years at Tarrant County Junior College. He also published several text books, and was a regular contributing editorial writer for the Star Telegram, Dallas Morning News and the Hood County News.

Alton enjoyed home improvement and design, tinkering on cars, and cooking exotic meals. Most of all though, he enjoyed spending time with family (particularly his granddaughters) and friends. He will be missed.

Survivors: Wife of 56 years, Juanita Parish; children, Tony Parish and wife Nichelle, and Rebecca Parish and husband Mike Crawford;. granddaughters, Bronwyn, Maya, and Ivy; sister, Helen South; and extended family.
