Obituary of James Arther Lockridge

Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

On March 1, 1950, in Bryan, Texas, a baby boy was born by the name of James A. Lockridge, the first child of three born to the union of Ocie and Edith Lockridge

James graduated from I.M. Terrell High School and later attended T.C.J.C. (Tarrant County Junior College).

He accepted Jesus Christ and united with Highland Park Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor B.F. Johnson.

James A. Lockridge, united in Holy Matrimony with Bridgett M. Thompson on September 15, 1980. To this union, two sons, Terrick Denard and Terrion Jenard, were born.

James was a loving & devoted father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.

James had a kind and giving spirit, never met a stranger, and whenever he was in your presence, he would keep you laughing. He loved to joke around & just be James.

He was a hard worker, to say the least. He dedicated 23 years of his life to Lockheed Martin, where he later retired after 23 years of labor.

On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, James A. Lockridge stuck his sword in the sands of time and peacefully transitioned from time into eternity. When James arrived in Heaven, he was reunited with his parents, Ocie and Edith, and brother Burnett Lockridge.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his sons, Terrick Lockridge, Terrion Lockridge (Tequila); sister Carolyn Watson (Raymond) and friend (Bridgett); four grandsons (Chapman Lewis, Aiden Lockridge, Adrien Lockridge, and Terrion Lockridge Jr) and a host of family and friends.
