Obituary of Jerry Michael Dixon

Jerry Michael Dixon, 84, passed away on April 20, 2026.

Jerry was born on January 11, 1942, in McKinney, Texas to James V. Dixon and Velma Ellis. He was a dedicated educator who spent much of his career teaching and positively impacting the lives of many students through the PGA. Jerry was also a proud PGA cardholder and owner of Keller Practice, a local golf range where he shared his passion for the game with countless golfers over the years.

Jerry will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and friend to many. His kindness, steady presence, and love for family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his daughter, Markey Dixon Olson and husband Dan; sons, Mike Dixon, and Jamey Dixon and wife Stacy; grandchildren, Michael DeLeon, Victoria Dixon, Jack Dixon, Timothy Dixon, Nicole Dixon, and Bailey Dixon; great-granddaughter, Briella Salcido; sister-in-law, Jackie Dixon; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Jerry’s legacy of love, family devotion, and dedication to teaching and golf will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
