Obituary of Clarence "Chuck" Cooper
Clarence “Chuck” Cooper,101, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, at his home in Joshua, Texas.
Born on December 22 in Weinert, TX to Will and Vesta, Chuck lived a life defined by kindness, loyalty and service to others. After graduating from Midwestern State University with a BS in Business/Marketing, he pursued multiple opportunities as a hardworking and dedicated entrepreneur, most recently as owner of Cooper Rental Center in Crowley.
Outside of work, Chuck was an avid fiddler and a dedicated founding member of the Tri-Cities VFW post in Crowley. Along with his beloved bandmates, “The Misfits”, he performed until recently at senior centers and nursing homes around Johnson County to entertain “the old folks”. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, “Papa”, and friend.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, brother Preston, and sister Oneta (Ash), as well as his wife of 52 years, Mary (Trotter), and wife Patsy (Rue). He is survived by children Deborah Cooper Landrum Love (Ronnie), Robert “Bob” Cooper, Cindy Porter (John), Diana Crabtree (Mike), Kathy Beattie (David), and Karen Brazos (Frankie), as well as 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on April 9,2026 at 11:00 am at Laurel Land Cemetery, 7100 Crowley Rd., Fort Worth TX., followed by a Celebration of Life at the Tri-Cities VFW Post #6872, 3409 CR 920, Crowley, TX.
Arrangements: Martin Thompson Funeral Home, 6009 Wedgwood Dr., Fort Worth. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home, or donations honoring Chuck may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
