Obituary of Jerry Lynn Plemons
Jerry Lynn Plemons, 84, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on March 9, 2026.
Jerry was born on December 22, 1941, in Ballinger, Texas, to Walter and Marguerite Plemons. He proudly served in the United States Army in his early years before beginning a long career as a truck driver. Jerry was known for his strong work ethic, dedication to his family, and the steady presence he brought to those around him.
He shared 48 happy years of marriage with his beloved wife, Gloria Thomas. Together they built a life centered around family, love, and support for one another. Jerry was a devoted father to his son, Donald Keith Plemons, whom he coached in sports during his younger years. Jerry experienced the heartbreaking loss of his son just three months before his own passing.
Jerry was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren: Jess, Brody, Colt, and Danielle. One of his greatest joys was watching them play sports and cheering them on from the sidelines.
In his free time, Jerry enjoyed bowling, golfing, and watching all kinds of sports. Whether playing himself or supporting his grandchildren, sports were always a big part of his life.
Jerry will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who was truly loved by all who knew him. His kindness, dedication to family, and quiet strength will be deeply missed.
Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2026, at Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 6009 Wedgwood Drive, Fort Worth, Texas 76133.
