Obituary of Frederick Torres

Frederick (Fred) Torres, a proud United States Air Force veteran, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 26, 2026.

Fred was born in The Bronx, NY on November 22, 1948, to Frank and Edelmira Torres. Fred joined the U.S. Air Force at the age of 17 in 1967. He served overseas in the Philippines, Vietnam, and Korea, demonstrating dedication, courage, and pride in serving his country.

On February 15, 1974, he married Delia and they had two daughters Priscilla and Pamela.

Fred is survived by his wife Delia, daughter Priscilla and son-in-law Derrick, his cherished grandchildren Madison, Derrick Jr (“DJ”), and daughter Pamela. He is also survived by his siblings Yolanda Torres Sinnott, David Torres, and Frank Torres (deceased).

Fred cherished lifelong friendships formed in grade school, bonded by a shared love of baseball that endured throughout his life. He also found peace in fishing and enjoyed listening to music as a way to escape the stresses of life and unwind.

Fred’s service to his country and his devotion to friends and family will be remembered with honor and gratitude. He now rests in triumph with the Lord in paradise. May he watch over us and guide us like he did in life.
