Obituary of William Mark Gower

Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

William Mark Gower, 64, of Arlington, Texas passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, in his home surrounded by family. He was the second of three children. Born to William Samuel Gower and Joyce C Gower on August 30, 1961, in California and raised in Florida.

Bill moved to Texas in July of 2007 and in 2009 met the love of his life, Marva Gower. They married on February 6, 2010.

Bill enjoyed riding motorcycles and bicycles in his younger years. He enjoyed having friends over for a good meal, board games, and swimming. Mainly he loved spending time with his wife and slow dancing in the kitchen with her while saying “I’ll lead.”

Bill was Baptized as one of the Jehovah’s Witnesses on February 8, 2020, and loved going out in service with his friends. He would write out his presentation and read it to his wife so he could make sure his main points were understood by the householder.

He is survived by his wife, Marva Gower; his three children, William J Gower, Shane M Gower, and Chelsea S Campbell; his stepchildren, Frank Avendano, Jorge Avendano, Marva E Avendano, and Josiah Flores; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Cindy Llewellyn; brother, Michael Gower.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Samuel Gower and Joyce Cordelia Nolett.

He sleeps now awaiting the promised resurrection found in God’s word, the Bible, at John 5:28-29.
