Obituary of James William "Bill" Frost

James William "Bill" Frost, age 98, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on August 22, 2025.

Bill was born on April 6, 1927, in Cisco, Texas to Bernard and Grace Frost. After graduating Paschal High School in Fort Worth, Bill enlisted in the United States Navy. Bill proudly served his country in the Pacific fleet. After his service, Bill worked for Graybar until his retirement in 1982.

Bill married Ora Fern Montgomery on August 2, 1957 in Fort Worth. Bill and Fern remained married until her passing on January 12, 2025.

Bill’s hobbies included bowling, golf, and horse racing.

Bill is survived by nieces and nephews Bill Montgomery of Benbrook, TX; Reba Gilchrist of Weatherford, OK; Robert and Susan Montgomery of Bynum, TX; Amanda and Randy Wilkes of White Settlement, TX; James Montgomery of Arlington, TX and Genna Gilchrist of NC.  Bill is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Fern Frost; parents Bernard and Grace Frost; and nephews John Montgomery and Dale Montgomery.

The family will receive any friends who want to share memories or express condolences on Thursday, September 4th from 5 to 7pm at Martin Thompson & Son Chapel, 6009 Wedgwood Dr, Fort Worth, TX 76133.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 5th at Martin Thompson & Son Chapel.
